Here’s the aftermath of the roofers. I’m heartbroken over what they did to my yard.
Watch out for nails. I’m really sorry they left such a mess behind.

Yeah, I finally went out there and found a bunch of nails scattered around.

Get one of those magnetic poles for finding nails, they really help after roofing jobs. It’s crazy how many you’ll keep finding over time. Sorry about your plants too!
@Landry
When we got our roof done, the crew used a metal detector to pick up any nails left behind. I thought that was a nice touch.
That’s unacceptable. You should talk to the boss about it.

I did, but all I got was a weak apology.

You deserve proper compensation for this. Don’t settle until they make things right.

They should replace the damaged items and clean up the mess. This isn’t right.

When it’s time to pay, make sure you deduct for the damages. List everything that was broken, especially the pots.
People can be so inconsiderate sometimes.
That’s so unprofessional. My roofers used big tarps to protect my garden and cleaned up everything. I hope you leave a bad review. So sorry this happened!
Call their supervisor and let them know you want compensation or you’re prepared to take legal action. That usually gets them to act faster.
I’m so sorry! Something similar happened to me before, and it broke my heart too.
Oh no! I’m so sorry this happened to you!
They should have warned you to move the plants if there was a risk.

Maybe they did and OP just didn’t mention it here…
Usually, they tell you to move anything within a few feet of the house. Surprised they didn’t give you a heads-up.

That’s tough, but it looks like your plants will recover.
I know they will, but it’s harder knowing some of these plants were gifts from a friend.
Report them to the BBB and leave reviews everywhere. If they won’t make it right, make sure others know how terrible they are. So sorry you’re dealing with this, OP!
