Gardening won’t fix the sadness today… but it helps

Feeling the same way today. At least we have our gardens to bring some happiness into our lives. Wishing you peace, friend.

Thank you

We’re up in Northern Vermont and it was warm today. Took the pups for a walk, then planted garlic in the afternoon. Helps to focus on the little things. Had a beautiful sunrise and sunset, which was a nice reminder to just be present.

I’m Canadian and also feeling down about things today. Spent the afternoon prepping my garden for winter—feels like the best I can do for now, getting things ready and hoping for better days.

Maybe if you grew some ‘green,’ it’d help a bit more

Haha, wish that amendment had passed in my state!

The timing of the election is rough—just when my garden is dying back too. Feels like the end of everything.

That’s really tough.

Totally feel that! Pulling up my tomato vines today was hard enough.

You should try some indoor plants and grow lights!

I know exactly how you feel! Had a rough day too but pushed myself to go outside. There’s something about the garden that makes everything a little better. Sending hugs

Spent the day at The Portland Japanese Garden with my son, and then we worked in our garden. Really lifted my spirit.

That place is beautiful! Perfect spot to find some peace.

Got a foot of snow today, and I hadn’t dug up my dahlias yet. Guess it’s too late now. Ugh!

Ouch, that’s rough!

Went to my local plant nursery and splurged on happy plants. Spent the day planting them, and it made me so happy. Love my garden.

Hang in there! You’re not alone. Your post reminded me to get out and pull some weeds. Gardening really does help.

I’m from Canada too and ended up crying in my car this morning after dropping my kids off. Took the afternoon off to tackle the overgrown plants in the neighborhood. It was therapeutic.
