Mine did well for years until the squirrels dug up all my crocus bulbs.
My wife’s grandfather planted ours in the 1950s, and since then, the chipmunks have moved them around. Our crocuses pop up all over the yard now.

Very cool! Where did you get your bulbs?
I think it was Eden Brothers.

We got ours from Holland Bulb Farms.
@Baer
You can plant them with your fall bulbs. As long as the ground hasn’t frozen solid, it’s a good time to plant them!

What’s your growing and climate region?
Central South Carolina, so about zone 8.
You grew gold!
I’m actually excited about this because I love saffron and didn’t know I could grow it here.
It’s beautiful!
And saffron loves me… what a beauty!
You’re rich!!
Now grow 600 more and harvest them!
I’m just in love with saffron.
mine didn’t.
Well done. Congratulations!
How beautiful!
Oh man, I’ve been wanting to grow these, but our soil is urban and pretty polluted, so I don’t grow edibles, unfortunately.
Congrats! I had bulbs that came up for two years straight but never bloomed.

That’s mine. They divide a lot but no blooms. Fingers crossed this year is different.
