Set up an indoor grow room in my basement for overwintering peppers!

Uh oh… not again.

Which grow lights are you using? Would you recommend them?

I got some cheap ones off Amazon. They connect to each other, so I only need one outlet.

Are those emergency blankets on the walls? Not a bad idea if so. Definitely need more lighting though.

Nope, they’re just tarps and plastic sheets. Looks darker in the picture, but I agree I might need better lighting.

That’s not nearly enough light for proper growth.

I know it looks super dark in the picture, but it’s brighter in person.

Peppers can overwinter. Your favorite gardening YouTuber probably has a video about it!

What lights are you using? I use Vivosun 1000s, and they work great.

I’ll check the brand, but they’re just budget ones from Amazon.

Prune the leaves and reduce watering to once every 3-4 weeks. You can try rooting the cuttings too.

I didn’t prune and ended up with a ton of aphids. Lesson learned.

Appreciate the tip!

I don’t think peppers like UV light.

You’ll need a fan for stimulation. Plants need some stress to thrive. Aim the fan at the base on low and gradually increase as they adapt.
