Here’s a shot of the longan tree and the amazing harvest my grandma and uncle worked on this season. It’s such a treat to have these!
This fruit is completely new to me—what’s it taste like?

It’s sweet and slightly floral. Really unique and delicious!

They grow in Southeast Asia. The peel is thin and feels like cardboard. Inside, you’ll find sweet translucent flesh with one black seed. They’re about the size of a cherry.

¡También es nuevo para mí! ¿A qué sabe?
That’s a lot of peeling for freezing! How do you use the frozen ones—are they good for smoothies?

Haha, my uncle does the peeling! We mostly use them for desserts or make juice and drinks with them. We don’t really do smoothies, but they’d probably work well!
My longan tree hasn’t produced any fruit for years. Any tips on what might be wrong?
Just looking at this makes my mouth water!
This is so cool. Thanks for sharing!
Looks delicious!
If I had these around, I’d eat them every single day!
Wow! What’s your secret? That’s one amazing longan tree!
This is one of my favorite fruits, but I live in zone 8 and it’s too cold for them here!
I want both a longan and a lychee tree so badly, but my climate’s too cold for them.
That’s such an impressive harvest! Not gonna lie, longan always reminds me of lychee a bit.
