My grandma’s garden… Anyone know what these flowers are? They’re so pretty!

I’ve been admiring these flowers in my grandma’s garden but have no clue what they are. I thought maybe someone here might recognize them. They’re pink and really nice!

Sheffield pink chrysanthemums! I’ve got these in both my front and back yards, and they really are super easy to care for. Just need to divide them once in a while if they start spreading too much.

Thanks for the info! I’ve seen these before but never knew what they were. Now I can appreciate them even more!

Rabbits ate all the asters I planted last year… didn’t stand a chance!

Same here! Somehow, those little guys always find a way into my planters. It’s like they’re acrobats just for the chance to munch on my flowers!

@Toby
Haha, that’s such a funny visual. Thanks for the laugh!

@Toby
Perfect plant to annoy a pesky neighbor (kidding, of course)!

So pretty!

Yeah, they just sprouted up between my trailer and the fence. No watering or anything. They’re tough!

You’re lucky! I’ve tried to grow them for so long, but my seeds won’t even sprout.

Grandmas have the best front yards, don’t they?

I’m not a grandma, but my goal is to have a ‘grandma yard’ one day where my nephews and nieces feel welcome. Grandma homes just have that cozy feel, or at least they should.

Looks like some kind of chrysanthemum to me. I’ve never seen them grow this dense though… what’s her secret?

I think it’s an aster.

It’s like a rectangle… but square (haha).

Actually, these are Sheffield pink chrysanthemums.

Those are chrysanthemums, like a daisy variety. They look super healthy… your grandma must really take care of them!

Sheffield or hillside mums! They come in pink and yellow, bloom every year, and they’re honestly the best for easy care.

What zone are you in? I’d love to try growing them, but I’m in zone 4, and I’m not sure they’d survive here!

@Ellis
I’m a bit south, but you might be in luck! I found a website that says they’re hardy to zone 4:

Another one says zone 3:

So maybe you can enjoy them after all!
