That’s a lot of bananas!
Yep, we share them with family and friends. We love using green bananas for dishes like alcapurrias and pasteles.
Do you need specific weather to grow bananas?

They do best in the tropics, but I’ve grown some in Florida too. They like a lot of water and don’t handle cold weather well.
@Devi
Tried growing them here in California but they didn’t make it.
I’m not sure what I’m looking at here. Should’ve put a banana next to it for scale.
Work all night on a drink of rum
For the best taste, let them ripen at room temperature, then enjoy the sweetness.

In Puerto Rico, we have to bring them inside or they ripen too fast in the heat!
A friend’s neighbor in Castro Valley, California had a banana tree that produced a decent amount. Not as big as your bunch, though.
That’s bananas!
