I grew this pumpkin in my friend’s backyard without him knowing. Later, I turned it into a pie and even gave my cat some of the pre-pie puree. What do you think?

It wasn’t hard to get him involved. I gave him a small houseplant clipping, and he got hooked. Turns out his backyard had a forgotten garden plot, so we started a whole setup together.

The sun was right in my eyes at that moment.

Lol, you look like someone forced you to harvest it at gunpoint. But the pumpkin is impressive!
@Jules
Nah, he’s crying because he had to say goodbye to his pumpkin child
@Jules
Honestly, kinda true lol.

Maybe those are tears of joy from a great harvest.
@Tatum
Could be that too!

Hey, buddy, the sun is just doing its job. It’s not all bad!

This is hilarious, but the pumpkin itself is super cute.

Poor guy, the sun can be cruel sometimes (jk!)

Because bringing it into the world was tough work.

Lol, ‘I’m traumatized by my own achievement!’

Don’t worry, that expression will fade… you just gave birth to a pumpkin!

Maybe he’s upset because now he has to eat pumpkin… and he even gave some to the cat! Great job on growing it though, it’s huge.
Wish I had a friend who’d surprise me with their gardening projects!

That’s awesome! How long did it take for your pumpkin to turn orange? Mine is taking forever, but I live in a desert so no frost.

Not entirely sure. I planted it mid-spring, and we harvested it late September. That’s in a zone 6b if that helps.
@Ash
Thanks! Good info, and awesome job again.
