Let’s celebrate gardening!

If you’re sport farming, do you eat them or release them back into the wild?
We eat them raw like the barbarians we are.

We have a groundhog living in our backyard who eats the veggie scraps from our compost, so I guess a bit of both .

What? What is this trend about?
Well, previously nobody ever showed off their vegetables online; it was all about fish. Now these brave souls are changing the narrative, creating a space for us to show off our homegrown produce in gardening groups. Finally, we can come out of the shadows, no longer ashamed.
@Oak
I can finally till my garden during the day. I was embarrassed to be seen out there before; my rows were all crooked.
@Oak
God help us… but the world needs to change! I want the next generation to live in a world where they can post their crops online!
on reddit, they only showed off fish
Close. It’s Tinder, not reddit. Dating apps, specifically, are where the humor comes from.

I’m relatively new here but I believe this trend started here.

I like to give credit where credit is due, u/maiaiam.

Lol, I’m enjoying the produce and garden content being shown, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a single fish shared on reddit. I imagine you have to look for that content much more than this trend would have you think. Can we just change this movement? It’s like trying too hard to comment on something that really isn’t prevalent.
But I love the pics!

Yeah, I don’t like it. I garden and I like to fish responsibly. Are we going to gatekeep gardening now? If so, I’m about to leave this group real fast.
@Wei
It’s not about fishing; it’s about using fish to impress women. No woman swoons at the sight of your big black cod.

Something I’m loving!

This mostly came from the fact that in areas where people are into fishing, they’d post Tinder photos of themselves holding a fish. The trend is to suggest holding something you grew instead.
People holding fish is extremely uncommon in some areas but very common in others; it’s kind of a weird regional quirk.
Can I hold both?

But then who’s driving the car??

Why do you think I have the fish?
WHO’S DRIVING THE CAR?!!
