I wanted to share a picture of my desert rose. It’s such a lovely plant, but I made a typo in the title earlier. Oops! English isn’t my first language, so sometimes I mix up words.

Just so you know, ‘dessert’ refers to a sweet treat after a meal, like cake or ice cream. ‘Desert’ is a dry area, like the Sahara or Mojave. Easy mix-up!
You’re right! Thanks for pointing that out. It’s called a desert rose. English can be tricky sometimes for me!
@Wynn
An easy way to remember: ‘dessert’ has two S’s because you always want seconds of sweets.

But what if I want extra sand? Haha, I always mess those two up!

Fun fact: Antarctica is technically a desert. No sand there though!

As someone who grew up speaking English, I can confirm it’s a weird language! By the way, your desert rose looks stunning. Do you know what variety it is?
@Jo
Thanks! I thought it might be that or Adenium obesum. It’s grafted, and the semi-double flowers make me think it’s a named variety.

This looks so realistic. Did you make it out of marzipan? Are you saving it for a special occasion? It almost seems too pretty to cut!
It’s probably fondant. It’s always fondant.

I dream of rain… lele ah ya ley…
It’s so pretty.
Absolutely gorgeous!
I had one of these that I rescued from the clearance rack for $1. It was just a little stump, but it started thriving. It grew healthy leaves and had a fat trunk. Then one day, a cockatoo came by and bit it clean off. I tried to save it, but both the stump and the cutting died.
Really pretty.
Just a heads-up: DO NOT EAT IT.
At this point, I’d take any rose, honestly.
