Hello everyone I need your advice on this
If it’s really wet, try to stay off it during winter.
If you get a chance, core or spike it, but don’t do anything else.
In early spring, scarify, core, top dress and overseed. After that, stay off it for a few weeks.
Lawns can recover well, so it should bounce back.
You mowed it today in the strong wind and rain across the country?
This has to be a joke.

Hahaha I promise it’s true I know it sounds silly but it didn’t actually rain in SW London
The only thing you can do now is blame yourself until late March. Just leave it and do some patch repairs once the frost danger is gone.
You actually mowed it today? During a big storm?
Just leave it alone now and avoid walking on it during winter if you can. It should be fine by spring
Stay off it completely. Maybe consider applying iron to help strengthen the grass. I have clay soil and it worked wonders for me in winter. Just wait for it to dry a bit first
Did you remember to raise the cutting bar on the mower? You really shouldn’t cut it low if it’s long or at this time of year
You should have left it long. Long grass leads to a muddy mess or no grass leads to a muddy mess. With the rain we’ve had, we’re all dealing with a muddy situation.
