What are these little things in my garden?

I just moved to a new house and started working on the garden. I spotted these tiny things growing with my adenium. Any ideas?

That’s Birds Nest fungus. They’re harmless but super interesting.

Thanks for that! I thought they looked so cool, like tiny cupcake liners with coins inside. I love them!

@Rory
They remind me of Reese’s peanut butter cups, the mini ones!

Someone mentioned these a while back. Apparently, they’re a sign that your soil is in great shape!

Oh wow, that’s great to hear! I was a bit worried about the moisture level with my adenium in there, but it seems okay so far. Thanks!

That was my first thought too! :joy:

Those are like little friends, but they’ll disappear after a few days.

Everything good seems to leave too soon, doesn’t it?

Those tiny cups are designed to catch raindrops, and when the water splashes out, it spreads their contents. Nature is so clever!

These pop up when there’s been a lot of rain and the soil stays wet. They’re totally harmless and look super cool.

These fungi are adorable! They really add some fun to the garden.

Absolutely agree! They’re definitely one of my new favorites.

Birds Nest fungus! One of the coolest types out there in my opinion.

I’ve never seen anything like this before. I’ve had mushrooms grow in my pots, but these are so tiny and perfect! :ok_hand:

I haven’t seen these in ages. They’re so fascinating!

Did you poke one with a stick? That’s always my first move when I see stuff like this.

The bigger plant there looks like an adenium to me, such a beautiful one too!

You’re spot on! It’s an adenium, one of my favorites. I’ve got a whole collection of them now.
