When we moved in, the flower beds were a mess with overgrown roots and dirt everywhere. I’ve been slowly planting local perennials. I’m hoping my crape myrtle and future pecan tree will add some shade for those hot summers.
Update: I’ve planted small ground cover plants along the path along with seeds for hummingbird flowers and clover. There are drought-tolerant plants along the sides. The bigger planter has bulbs and creeping ground cover plants. For now, I’m using large pots to shade the flowers from the direct sun.
@Mai
More native plants, please!
Absolutely! I’ve got so many native plants still waiting to sprout.

Thank you so much! I’m really excited to figure out the shapes I can make with my limestone bricks. Spring is going to be incredible once everything blooms!

This is such a wonderful reminder that even small steps in gardening make a big difference. Every single person working on something like this helps the planet so much.
I know it’s just a hobby for some, but seeing efforts like this really warms my heart.
