Just wanted to share this! Pomegranates are my favorite fruit. Anyone else growing them?
So nice! I grew one from a seed but it never flowered
I read that they flower at the branch tips, so I never pruned it. Later, I realized I might’ve misunderstood. I did a big trim a few weeks ago—hoping that helps!
@Ben
Calcium and potassium will help it bloom. If you don’t feed it, it won’t flower.

Oh, I had no idea! Thanks! Should I start feeding it when it comes out of dormancy, or wait a bit longer?
@Ben
You’ve put in so much care—I bet it’ll bloom soon!
@Ben
Mine grow wild on my property, and they always bloom… I don’t even do anything! But I hear the same thing about my other fruit trees and get nothing. So weird.
Looks great! Is it the full-size variety or a dwarf one?

It’s the full-size variety.
Good to know! I’ve been hesitant to get one since I don’t have much space to keep it inside during winter (it can hit -30°C here), but if they fruit well at that size, I’d love to try growing one.
Wow, that looks amazing!
So fresh and healthy! I need one!
Beautiful! We planted ours last fall. Do you know how old this one is?

You’re brave for trying pomegranates in Zone 7b!

We just went for it! We have a fig tree that’s thriving here too. The weather’s getting warmer each year, so why not? Plus, it was only €20, so no big loss if it fails!
Omg I need one now!!
