Does anyone know why this happens? I’ve never seen this before and it looks super cool

I’ve done this with wild violets and rose petals. Just leave them in water until they lose their color and you’ll get clear flowers. Just keep changing the water and waiting. It took me about a week or two. Not sure if it works for every flower, but it’s a fun experiment
@Clarke
Do you put the flower upside down in the water? For the rose petals, can I just put them in water with the petals down and change the water daily to get clear roses?
@Clarke
A method I’ve seen for leaves is adding a lot of baking soda to boiling water and scrubbing until just the clear skeleton remains. I’m not sure if it would work on delicate petals, but it might be worth trying
It’s super cool for sure
What type of flower is that?
