Not me planning my garden....in a Midwest, US January 😂

Dreaming of the warm days ahead, I’ve been obsessing over garden plans while snow blankets the ground. Anyone else planning this early?

I’m in Maine planning already :joy: Won’t be able to do much until mid-April and can’t get my stuff out until early-mid May.

No snow, weather can’t decide what it wants to do, and still can’t freaking garden :joy:

OMG literally the exact same! I’ve been listening to Epic Gardening videos on YouTube all day and I plotted out my garden in my bullet journal this afternoon :joy: Trying to grow produce for the first time ever!!

Where in the Midwest are you? IL here :grin:

@Torin
I’m in Ohio, so I have to wait until May (ish) to get stuff in the ground. But I know I’ve got a lot of work to do. lol

@Torin
YouTube gardens and YouTube solar keep me busy in the winter.

@Torin
Jacques in the Garden is so good too! So glad he made his own channel.

I hear you! I’ve already ordered my seeds and started a countdown until I can start the first seedlings inside!

Same! My seeds arrived in the mail today and it felt like Christmas morning lol.

3b gardener here. My friend and I bought graphing paper to do this. No shame.

How else do we survive winter? :joy::sob:

Lol this is the time of year to do it! I don’t know about y’all, but I don’t have time to plan out the garden in the middle of planting season. In my zone (5b), there are only a couple of months where I literally cannot grow anything. I need something to keep me occupied until the snow starts to melt haha.

I’m doing it too! Because it keeps me sane and brings me joy to remember these cold dark days are going to end soon and then I can plant to my heart’s content.

YES. Dreaming of the days when I can sit outside and complain about how dry it’s been and wish for rain. :joy::joy:

Anything to get through this freaking weather…all of 14 degrees, bring on the garden!:potted_plant:

Ikr? And we’re only in January. But I like where you’re going with the garden plans!

Ah, January in the Midwest, when every other year I would kick myself that the rarest seeds sell out in December :joy:
