My very first homegrown tomato!

I put an American quarter next to it for size comparison.

You did it! So proud of you!

Awww, thank you :blush:.

Congrats! Growing tomatoes is such a rewarding experience! Before you know it, you’ll have a ton and be making everything from salsa to pasta sauce, or even tomato chips with a dehydrator. We did that this year—just add a little olive oil and spices, and you’ve got low-carb pizza bites!

@Mai
Oh, I need to try those chips! I have way too many tomatoes this year and could use some new ideas!

I do it with zucchini too!

@Mai
Noted! Thanks for the encouragement and the tasty ideas :yum:

Thank you :heart:

I bet it was the best tomato you’ve ever tasted!

It’s a boy! Congrats!

What should I name him?

Congrats! Make sure to take lots of photos. Even a small crop makes great memories.

I love that idea. Might even take a Polaroid to keep this moment forever :face_holding_back_tears:

It has so much character!

And a stylish little 'do to match :sunglasses::ok_hand:

Is that a Polish tomato? I grew some like that this year, only much bigger.

Supposed to be a ‘Roma’ variety! Yours must have gotten huge! Mine are meant to be bigger too, but I’m proud of this little guy :smile:

Oh, to have a spot for growing tomatoes! Sadly, my yard just doesn’t get enough sun.

Aww, I wish you had more sun! I only have a small patio myself, so I had to get creative and let the plant leaves reach for light. It worked well enough for this little tomato—might’ve needed a dime for scale otherwise :joy:

Great job! It looks perfect! :tomato:

Not just perfect?! Thank you :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Looks like a Roma! They’re great for sauces, and vine-ripened taste amazing too.
