I love this! It works so perfectly with your house. What’s the red iris in the third and fourth picture?
Thank you so much! It’s been a joy to work on. Unfortunately, I don’t know the exact variety—it came with the house. Schreiner’s Irises might have something similar in their catalog, though!
Those blues and purples look amazing with the yellow of your house! This really feels like a true cottage garden.

Thank you so much! That means a lot.
This is so stunning. I love how it has that perfectly wild and overgrown look.

Thank you! I plant everything really close together to get that effect. Adding weeping plants, like nepeta, that spill over the paths also softens the edges.
@Jordan
That’s such a good idea! I’ve been using bleeding hearts and spiderwort but have struggled to find weeping plants to complement them. I’ll check out nepeta—thank you!
The blue flowers are gorgeous—what are they? I’d love to add them to my garden!

Those are delphiniums. I’m not sure of the exact variety, though.
Well done! Your garden is absolutely beautiful.
Oh wow, this is stunning. I live in the country and tried making a wildflower field on half an acre, but the weeds overtook everything in the first year. On top of that, grasshoppers always decimate my garden every year. Any tips?
@Reagan
Thank you! I completely get your struggle. I’ve had more success with seedlings than direct sowing seeds. For the pests, have you tried using netting to keep them away?
Adorable garden. Great work!
Absolutely gorgeous!!
Your garden is so lovely
I couldn’t love this more!
Fantastic job! I’m so jealous of your delphiniums. I just can’t grow them in my soil because of some wilt issue.
I love how full and lush it looks now! Great work
