This is my first time growing glass gem corn, and I wasn’t sure how it would turn out. I’m so happy with the results! I love the colors and will definitely grow this every year.
It looks so delicious! I’ve never seen it look so cool. How does it taste?
Oh, it’s just for decoration! It’s a type of flint corn, which isn’t as sweet as regular corn. They use it for tortillas and popcorn.
Does the popcorn look cool too?
Update: It looks kinda neat! Not dramatic or anything, but there are little touches of the colored kernels.
It’s decorative. As pretty as they are, I just can’t see myself growing things I won’t eat, lol.
Autumn is my favorite time of year, so I love growing things like this to get into the spirit. I also grew some white pumpkins and Velvet Queen sunflowers.
