Yes, it’s a perennial mango variety.

Maybe you could mention that in the post?

I think most people in this forum would recognize a mango, but I get your point about the title.
@Rio
I guessed mango too but had to check the comments to confirm.
@Rio
Depends on where you’re from. I’ve never seen mangoes like this.

Same here! The mangoes I see are usually bright yellow or red-green, not fuzzy or pale like this.

I’m in Canada, and we only started getting smaller yellow ones recently. The big red-green ones were all we had before. Never seen these velvety ones—would love to try them!
@Rio
I saw potatoes at first too. Didn’t match the description, though!

Potatoes were my first guess, then paw paw.
@Cassidy
Paw paw crossed my mind too.
@Rio
Totally agree. This is the best mango variety in my opinion!

Could you share a photo of the tree with the fruit on it? I’m curious—does it look anything like a quince tree?

Do annual mango varieties exist too?

This meme will never get old
@Adair
Not jealous at all… nope!
These look so tasty. I love eating mangoes straight over the sink, juice dripping everywhere!

That’s oddly specific, but yes, dripping chin is a must.
