I’m feeling really proud because this is my first raspberry! It might not seem like much, but it’s a big deal to me. Anyone else get this excited about their first homegrown fruit or veggie?

@Gracen
Thanks for the advice! I wasn’t sure about pruning last spring, but now I’ll give it a try.
I was the same with my single strawberry last year. It was so satisfying!

I planted a mix of strawberry varieties, and they’ve completely taken over a 7x7 patch in less than two years. It’s amazing!

I’m hoping to grow some strawberries soon, too!

Thanks, I’ll definitely check it out!
Congrats!
Beautiful! I live in a colder climate (5b) and wild raspberries grow everywhere. They need very little care—just prune in spring to encourage growth. They’ll likely survive winter without any issues.

Thanks for the tips!
It’s adorable!
Congrats! I’m sure there are many more raspberries to come.
You’re on your way to making jam!
Wow, great job!
Yay! We’ve been working on a blueberry bush for years in a dry climate. We finally got a few berries last year, and it was so exciting! I totally get how you feel.

Same here—I’ve been watering this plant diligently.
