Hi everyone! I’m not sure what this plant is, but if I dig it up and put it in a pot, will it survive indoors during the winter?

Begonia Semperflorens is hardy outdoors from zone 9 and up. In colder climates, it will overwinter indoors. Keep it on the dry side in an unheated room.

Yes, I place them where they can get some morning sun, and they bloom all winter. Since they bloom all winter, I keep a large tray underneath to catch the flowers before they fall and stain the floor. Be aware of that.

You can start taking cuttings in January or February to create lots of new bedding plants for outside. The mother plant will become huge!

Your dog appears to have no eyes.

I bet those eyes light up at night!

It’s a cat. They sleep all the time.

You absolutely can! My mom always grew these as houseplants. I remember pulling off the flowers before they opened when I was little.

If your begonias are in pots, overwintering is easy—just bring them inside. Make sure to do this before the temperature drops below sixty degrees Fahrenheit.

That is really good advice
