@Denver
Oh, I have a writer sim right now, and she’s still a teen but brings in big money for the family I definitely missed out

Is it really underrated I mean I feel like gardening and painting are the most popular ways to make money after using the motherlode cheat
That’s a good point I always painted for extra cash Maybe it’s just that I never gave gardening a try or I assumed selling veggies wouldn’t make me rich but here we are I just wanted to share my experience in case there are others out there avoiding gardening because they think a $2 apple won’t add up to much.
@Tavi
If you befriend a group of wild birds and place one on your lot, they’ll eat the insects too Just set the seasons to on and it’ll feel like it tends to itself
If you want to earn real cash, build a rocket and race to find a UFO The money from those is wild

I go to another sim’s place and use their rocket
Wait how can you find a rocket
Until they randomly turn into dust I enjoy gardening but with seasons, it makes gardening a hassle having to protect plants off-season - then they don’t grow as quickly or just turn to dust piles. I play on PS5 so I don’t have access to mods.
@Peyton
Shift+click the plant > Growth Stage > Blossoming
ETA: I just realized you’re on console, so check for whatever the PS5 version of shift+click is

Is there a console equivalent to shift+click Please confirm this and explain how
@Lin
IGN tells me you can press x+circle on your sim to open the cheat menu You might have to enter “testingcheats true” first
@Sage
Oh, got it It’s a cheat I will keep that in mind
@Peyton
I play on PC but have you ever used the Cow Plant before I had other plants in my garden that I think it killed I don’t normally play with the Cow Plant.

I have before but I don’t think it’s the Cow Plant that causes it The dust pile bug is pretty well-known and I think it involves certain lot traits that help plants grow better or quality up

Cow plants only harm sims who are foolish enough to eat the cake twice in a row.
The dirt pile bug happens often, and while there was a mod that fixed it, it doesn’t always work It’s not necessarily linked to lot traits, as I’ve had it happen on lots without gardening traits even when plants are sheltered.

Cow plants are really just chaotic. The milk doesn’t sell for anything and feeding them can hurt or kill your sims It adds some fun danger but is pretty useless
Have they fixed the weeding issue yet

No, I’m dealing with it in my current legacy challenge now.

No I made my male sim a wizard to help with this since I’m trying to collect and grow every plant in the game

Not in my game It’s really frustrating.
I’ve found that putting the plant in my inventory can help, but I’m not sure.

That glitch is so annoying
You should definitely build a greenhouse They’re cute, easy to decorate, and seasons won’t affect them since they’re sheltered
