Such a vibrant color! Do they taste as good as they look?

Oh, absolutely! They’re like a burst of sunshine in your mouth.

Peel one for me, will you?

Are these similar to mandarins? They look so perfect.

Yep, they’re a lot like mandarins—sweet, tangy, and super easy to peel.

They look incredible! Growing your own must feel so rewarding.

It really is! We mainly focus on saplings, especially mangoes and exotic fruits. We’ve got 8,500 mango trees across 10 acres and are aiming for 80 varieties next year with some ultra-dense planting. It’s a work in progress, but it’s exciting.

Those look great! We used to have ornamental oranges at our old house. They looked nice, but they were completely inedible.

Haha, yeah, ornamental oranges can be such a letdown. They’re pretty, but they don’t deliver on taste.

They remind me of Naartjies!

Where are you growing these? And how do you keep pests away?

I grow them on the east side of my garden where they get plenty of sunlight. To keep pests away, I use fruiting bags that also help maintain their color.

@Cameron
What are fruiting bags? Do you put one on every orange?

Yes, each fruit gets its own little bag. It keeps pests out and helps the fruit stay fresh and vibrant.

Do you eat them raw, or do you use them for cooking too?

I do both! Sometimes I just eat them raw while hanging out with my cat, but I also make orange jelly and bake cakes with them. They’re so versatile!

These look so juicy. My mouth is watering just thinking about them!
