Happy to share my progress with you all!
This has strong UK vibes
Yup you are right it really is
What makes this different from a garden outside the UK? Just genuinely curious.
In the UK, gardens often come in a long, narrow shape framed by hedges. This is because row houses are common, which results in rectangular backyards matching the house’s width.
I knew right away: the plant selection, the paving stones—they hit me with a wave of nostalgia.
If my garden looked like that I think it would be maintaining my sanity. Beautiful place , OP.
I’ve always wondered: how do landscapers create those light and dark rows in the grass? My mowing never results in that kind of pattern.
Just going back and forth with a push mower, I’ve seen some results. However, thick grass really makes the stripes pop. That lawn is likely four times thicker than mine, which only shows turn marks. I’d say it’s 90% grass care, and 10% a sharp blade set on a low cut.
