Found these plants in the garden. Not sure what they are. Can anyone help?
Ugh, those are the ornamental peppers they sell in northern states as fall decorations.

Wait, are you against them because of personal experience or something? Why are they bad?
Pretty sure that’s a yellow type of Bird’s Eye Chili.

That’s why they call them ornamental, like ornamental cabbage. Just for looks!

I honestly think only this country makes food that isn’t meant to be eaten but just looks like food—ornamental peppers and cabbage come to mind right away.

If you got that plant from a big box store, it’s probably covered in pesticides too. Yum, right?
Definitely ornamental peppers.
Looks like a concrete patio in the background, but I can’t see much because that ornamental pepper plant is in the way.
I’ve seen similar ones sold as ‘rainbow chilis.’ Not sure if it’s the same thing, though.
Looks like some kind of yellow chili.
I’ve grown chili pequin that looked similar but smaller. If these are pencil eraser-sized, they’re probably bird peppers.
This kind of pepper looks like the wild ones originally grown by farmers in the Andes. Not great for eating yet, but give it a few hundred years of selective growing and they might be sweeter. The peppers we’re used to today were bred for bigger sizes and better taste.
They’re just ornamental peppers.
Kind of looks like kumquats, tiny pear tomatoes, or peppers.
